REACH Burn Foun­da­tion fos­ters resilience with­in the burn com­mu­ni­ty through Reha­bil­i­ta­tion, Edu­ca­tion, Adap­ta­tion, Com­mu­ni­ty, and Heal­ing. We edu­cate and sup­port care­givers and pro­fes­sion­als, while pro­vid­ing trans­for­ma­tive oppor­tu­ni­ties for adult burn sur­vivors, by part­ner­ing with adap­tive sports experts.

Our Story

We are a non-prof­it 501(c)3 orga­ni­za­tion, ded­i­cat­ed to pro­found­ly impact­ing the lives of adult burn sur­vivors. Through ongo­ing sup­port and tai­lored pro­gram­ming, we cham­pi­on their post-burn care jour­ney, fos­ter­ing inspi­ra­tion and resilience. The gen­e­sis of REACH Burn Foun­da­tion emerged from a col­lec­tive endeav­or involv­ing burn providers, ther­a­pists, sur­vivors, and ded­i­cat­ed sup­port­ers. With over a decade of engage­ment in adap­tive sports and post-burn pro­grams, our com­mu­ni­ty gleaned invalu­able insights from sur­vivors, high­light­ing the trans­for­ma­tive pow­er of these ini­tia­tives in their post-pro­gram­ming lives.

Thanks to the gen­eros­i­ty of our donors, we offer adap­tive sports pro­gram­ming at no cost to sur­vivors, ensur­ing safe­ty and acces­si­bil­i­ty for all par­tic­i­pants through our metic­u­lous appli­ca­tion process that effec­tive­ly address­es indi­vid­ual needs. More­over, rec­og­niz­ing the chal­lenges in access­ing burn-spe­cif­ic edu­ca­tion, we endeav­or to democ­ra­tize access by offer­ing afford­able, online mod­ules through our web­site. Dona­tions cov­er both these ini­tia­tives, allow­ing us to extend our ser­vices and sup­port while strict­ly adher­ing to ACCME guide­lines for accred­i­ta­tion. Addi­tion­al­ly, our accred­i­ta­tion ser­vices are fur­ther extend­ed to burn and wound con­fer­ences upon application.

Burn Professional Continuing Medical Education

The REACH Burn Foun­da­tion is com­mit­ted to deliv­er­ing com­pre­hen­sive Con­tin­u­ing Med­ical Edu­ca­tion (CME) and Con­tin­u­ing Edu­ca­tion (CE) oppor­tu­ni­ties across var­i­ous med­ical dis­ci­plines, encom­pass­ing M.D. CME, R.N. CEU, and Para­medic CE. Along­side con­fer­ence-based edu­ca­tion, tai­lored cours­es for spe­cif­ic con­fer­ences will be avail­able online, with new CMEs craft­ed in advance of each event.
